Tammy Silva

Tammy was born and raised in Northern California. She moved to Utah to pursue her degree in Humanitarian Aid Work from Utah Valley University just after graduating high school. Tammy joined New Haven in 2016 as a mentor in the Residential Department. She worked the next several years as a Shift Supervisor at the Roosevelt and Teresa Houses before making the jump to the Human Resources Department at the end of 2021 as the HR Recruiter. Tammy loves working with and training new staff, and thoroughly enjoys watching the staff she’s trained move into leadership positions at New Haven! Her favorite aspect of New Haven is Family Focused Healing and being able to see the healing families make as a whole! Being adopted herself, Tammy enjoys working with our adopted students and students with Attachment Disorders to help them form healthy relationships! In her free time, Tammy enjoys the many hiking trails and mountains available in Utah. She can be found on her paddle board throughout the summer and wrapped up in a blanket with a good book during the winter!
