Nate has worked in residential treatment for more than 15 years. He has found this atmosphere rewarding because he is able to help students express themselves as they improve their lives. He loves watching the change that takes place as each student discovers her own worth and potential. It has been a very rewarding pursuit for him – looking to help students improve their lives and discover their potential. He values opportunities to teach life skills along with art curriculum.
Nate earned a BFA with an emphasis in Illustration from Utah State University and later returned to school for a certification and Masters degree in Education. Nate also completes private commissions and public paintings in addition to teaching. He hopes he can be an example to his students about the opportunities that arise as they follow their own passions. Besides creating paintings, Nate likes to play basketball, run and spend time with his wife and his eight children.
