Megan Slater has been with New Haven since 1996. Megan earned her Nursing Degree at Utah Valley University. She worked as both a shift supervisor and a nurse during the first year of New Haven. Megan fell in love with the community nursing while in school, and enjoys working at New Haven because of the one on one time that she is able to have with the students. She also loves the camaraderie that she feels from the people she works with.
She feels lucky to work in a place that encourages relationships, personal growth, and continued learning.
Megan and her husband have four children. She enjoys reading, writing, and music. One of her favorite things to do when she wants to decompress is to search second-hand stores for furniture that can be repurposed.
In addition to being an expert on psychiatric disorders and medications, Megan has a special interest in understanding ADHD and Autism, and s spent years researching those subjects. She put together a series of videos for employees and families to help them better understand and work with ADHD.
