Kimberly was born on the island of Luzon in the Philippines and moved to the United States when she was thirteen. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Weber State University in 2012 and a Master’s degree in Education from Weber State University in 2017. Kimberly’s educational philosophy is to help students find their place in history by engaging students in class debates, discussions, reflective reading and writing, creation and appreciation of art, music and movement.

Kimberly married her best friend in 2006 and has two beautiful daughters
and one son. She enjoys reading in front of a fire at home, camping and playing games with her family, dancing, hiking, and writing.
