Jordan Maready is kind, genuine, personable and comfortable to be around, but she knows how to be direct and set boundaries. She is organized, easy going, honors her word, and has a sense of humor. Not only has New Haven been fortunate to add Jordan to our team but alongside Jordan is her furry companion, Summer, a darling Irish Setter that joins Jordan alongside her sessions.

Jordan has long standing experience working with adolescents in a variety of settings. Jordan believes that rapport building and creating a trusting relationship is the foundation for all therapeutic work. Individuals need to feel unjudged and comfortable in order to do the work. She knows that everyone has the power to change and overcome trauma when given the right tools and guidance along the way. She knows it’s possible to mend historical hurt within a family but all members must be willing to step back and take a look from each other’s point of view. What Jordan enjoys most is watching the progress families make as they become more open and trusting as they work hard for what they want to become.

Jordan received both her Bachelor and Masters Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. In her Masters program she focused on healthcare, behavioral health and direct practice. Jordan is also trained in EMDR, verbal de-escalation and has experience with trauma, CBT, DBT, self-instruction training, solution- focused therapy, psychotherapy, neurodevelopmental disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders, anxiety and depression, motivational interviewing, stress related disorders, LGBTQ, substance abuse , BPD, bipolar disorder, OCD, experiential family therapy, and family systems work.

When Jordan is not working she loves to spend time with her family, travel, read, watch movies, wake surf, listen to music, and catch up on college sports. Jordan is always up for trying new activities and is a secret food connoisseur.
