Peter’s Story

Alumni Parent Experience - 2010
quote 3

“NH really is focused on helping the girls find out how to help themselves" or as our daughter wrote, "to find the right balance of the old me and the new me.”

Peter, Alumni Parent

The Present
Where Is Your Daughter Now?

Our daughter just graduated from medical school and is starting her residency in pediatrics. We have a great relationship with both of our adult children

"New Haven was not only a literal life saver for our daughter, but our parenting skills and our marriage took a huge leap forward."

Peter, Alumni Parent

Family
How would you describe your family relationships now?

We constantly are working with each other to advance our relationships. New Haven was not only a literal life saver for our daughter, but our parenting skills and our marriage took a huge leap forward. We all still use the skills we learned at New Haven. Of course there are challenging times, but we are fortunate to have loving, strong relationships with each other and our kids.

The Past
What part of New Haven was most helpful?

The key to New Haven's success is the treatment of the family unit. Our daughter obviously deserves the credit for her hard work. But New Haven's holistic approach to our family was critical in giving all of us the tools to move forward in a positive direction.
